The San Antonio Police Department is on the hunt for two teenage sisters, Emalu and Jazmyne Hernandez, who have been reported missing since Friday from their south side home. According to a report by KENS 5, the girls vanished without a trace and have yet to be located.
Last seen in the vicinity of their south side residence, Emalu, 15, stands at 5'4" and weighs roughly 115 pounds, sporting black hair and brown eyes. Her younger sister Jazmyne, who is only 13, is described as being 5'1", weighing about 130 pounds, with black hair dyed dark blue, also adorned with brown eyes. The SAPD has not provided details on what the sisters were wearing at the time of their disappearance.
In a stern warning, the police have reminded the public that charges will be pressed against anyone found to be harboring a runaway child. Under Texas law, harboring a runaway is considered a Class A misdemeanor that could potentially result in a fine of up to $4,000 and/or a year in jail if the child is under 18, has escaped lawful custody, or has been away from home without parental consent for a significant period.
