A San Marcos man has been handed a hefty prison sentence totaling 32 years for acts of indecency with a child, a Hays County judge ruled. The man identified as Bradley Don Simpson, 28, will serve consecutive sentences for three counts of indecency with a child, legal authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
Simpson was invited into the family home out of kindness before the incident took place involving an 8-year-old, as reported by FOX 7 Austin. The child came forward in February 2020 with allegations against Simpson, resulting in his arrest and subsequent charges.
According to CBS Austin, Simpson pled guilty to the charges on April 1 and was sentenced on May 23. The sentence breakdown includes 15 years each for the first two counts and an additional 17 for the third, as affirmed by Hays County Criminal District Attorney Kelly Higgins.
