
Authorities in Northeast Miami-Dade are on the lookout for Thomas Lacey, an 86-year-old man reported missing since last Friday. Lacey, as described by the Miami-Dade Police, vanished after departing his residence located at 1300 NE 167th Street at roughly 7 a.m. and hasn't been seen since, WSVN reported.
Standing at 5 feet, 2 inches and weighing about 150 pounds, Lacey has hazel eyes and gray hair, and while his clothing at the time he was last noticed remains unspecified he was using a red and black seated walker, a detail that could stand out to those trying to locate him, he may be in need of services which only accentuates the urgency of the search operation to find him. Miami Police have expressed concerns regarding Lacey’s requirements for services, underscoring the critical nature of this situation.
In an effort to gather information from the public, the Miami-Dade Police Department, particularly the Special Victims Bureau/Missing Persons Squad, is actively seeking assistance and has urged anyone with knowledge about Lacey's whereabouts to come forward. Detective M. Eloi, as well as any detective on the team, is available to contact at (305) 715-3300, and anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling (305) 471-TIPS (8477), according to the information provided by the police department.
Further amplifying calls for public assistance, the MiamiDadePD issued a plea via X, stressing the immediate need for information regarding the senior's disappearance.
