A seasoned man of the law, Christopher Poligala, has been making his mark on the Plano Police Department since 2008 bringing with him a service history that includes time in the United States Coast Guard, the K9 Unit, and a stretch as a Field Training Officer, as announced in a recent social media post by the Plano Texas Police Department.
Poligala, who shot up through the ranks to Sergeant in 2017, took a somewhat unconventional step in opting for a voluntary demotion, such was his dedication to the K9 Unit. He holds the distinction of carrying a Master Peace Officer license, earned in December of 2017, and the recognition of being an instructor for the National Academy for Professional Driving. Poligala's service includes a commendable stint at the sought-after 125th School of Police Supervision from the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration.
The Plano Police Department's announcement also highlights Poligala's numerous accolades, which encompass several Chief’s Unit awards, Advanced Physical Fitness awards, and a Safe Driving award.
