Hearings will make their migration to the alternative venues on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Business including child support, purge payments, and other financial transactions through the Juvenile Court Clerk's Office will be temporarily housed on the third floor of 201 Poplar Ave, while court filings can be addressed at 1075 Mullins Station Road, Building W2 or 157 Poplar Avenue, as reported by Action News 5.
The relocation plan outlines that non-custodial parent's office and child support contempt hearings will occupy the fourth floor of 201 Poplar Ave. Meanwhile, Shelby County's youthful offenders who are out-of-custody will have their day in court at 140 Adams Avenue on its third floor. For those remaining in custody, proceedings will unfold at the Youth Justice & Education Center at 3420 Old Getwell Road. Amid these transitions, security remains a top priority with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office confirmed to be providing it defending all temporary premises. The Protective Services Department and Traffic Department of the Juvenile Court will also be setting up shop at 1075 Mullins Station Road in Building W2.
