A 30-year-old man was indicted on Tuesday by a Clackamas County grand jury for allegedly selling the Fentanyl that led to the overdose death of a 26-year-old man. Colby Jungwirth, formerly from St. Paul, is facing second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide charges in connection to the 2022 death of Christian Robertson of Milwaukie.
Deputies of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office were summoned to a death scene in June 2022, where they found Robertson deceased, discovered by his family. Evidence in Robertson's room suggested an overdose. Investigators with the Clackamas County Interagency Task Force (CCITF) later traced back a drug purchase made by Robertson to Jungwirth, who allegedly sold the lethal Fentanyl to him, according to the indictment.
Jungwirth was apprehended on May 20 in Woodburn and was booked into the Clackamas County Jail the next day. A $250,000 bail has been set for his release.
The CCITF, spearheaded by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, includes personnel from various law enforcement agencies including the Canby Police Department, Oregon State Police, HSI, and the FBI. This task force aims to put a stop to drug trafficking operations in Clackamas County and minimize the presence of illegal narcotics and related criminal activities in the area. Their efforts are backed by the support of the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program.
