Law enforcement officials in Georgia's Cherokee and Bartow counties are on the hunt for a selective thief with a penchant for iPhone deliveries, as residents report a series of bold day-time package thefts from their porches, FOX 5 Atlanta reports. Capturing the frustration of locals, Sandra Brinson, who fell victim to the stealthy thief, conveyed to FOX 5 Atlanta, "It's disconcerting that someone walked up to my house in broad daylight to steal something,"

The suspect, sporting a reflective vest, bright yellow sneakers, and toting a Walmart bag, has prompted the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office to issue a warning, their spokesperson describing the suspect as a brazen porch pirate targeting specific items, as reported by TowneLaker, and these incidents follow a pattern, where the suspect seems to know when and where iPhones are being delivered, which raises concerns about the source of his information which remains an ongoing question for authorities.

The individual has been seen driving a small black sedan, thought to be a Honda Civic, appearing in multiple neighborhoods, with Cherokee County Sheriff's Capt. Jay Baker stating,"This individual knows what addresses are going to be receiving an iPhone that day, and he's going to that location. We don't know if that's information he's getting inside from one of the companies involved in this delivery or the sale of the phone, we just don't know yet," as obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta.

With the law enforcement sharing images of the alleged thief, communities have been on the alert and are encouraged to report any odd activities, as a collective community effort is crucial in the prevention and solving of these crimes, according to Patty Pan, Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, who detailed to TowneLaker, there were at least five iPhones stolen by the suspect in Cherokee County alone, along with acknowledging incidents that occurred in the neighboring Bartow County, adding urgency to the matter and serving as a collective reminder for residents the importance to remain vigilant.

Until the man is caught, law enforcement offers practical advice to iPhone buyers to receive deliveries at local stores or require a signature for delivery, aiming to undercut the opportunities for this discerning thief to strike again.
