A teenage boy was shot multiple times in the back last night on the Southwest side of the city, authorities reported. The Atlanta Police Department said the 15-year-old victim was found wounded at around 9:15 PM at 1265 Princess Avenue SW.
According to the report from Atlanta Police Department, the young victim, whose identity has not been released, was alert and breathing when officers arrived on the scene. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, fortunately, and is expected to survive. The police, in their continuing investigation, look to uncover the motives and the assailant behind this violent act.
Detectives from the Aggravated Assault Unit were sent to find out what caused the shooting. Witnesses described a chaotic scene with gunshots breaking the usual neighborhood quiet. No one has been arrested yet, and the police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
