Authorities have nabbed a sixteen-year-old suspect in connection to the Paine Street shooting that left a man wounded after his vehicle crashed into a house last week. The juvenile, whose name has not been disclosed due to his age, faces charges of armed assault to murder, unlicensed possession of a loaded firearm, and ammunition possession without the necessary permits.

The incident occurred on April 30, around 9:01 p.m., when Worcester Police responded to reports of a car collision with a building on Paine Street. Officers at the scene found the driver, a male suffering from a gunshot injury. He was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were described as serious.

According to a police report from Worcester Police Department's website, the investigation into the shooting is still active. Detectives are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward, offering several avenues for anonymous tips.
