According to KENS5, the young man sustained a gunshot wound but managed to find refuge in a store parking lot where he called for help.

The teen was reportedly engaged in selling personal items near an apartment on Culebra Road after 11 p.m. when the confrontation occurred. "Officers believe he was selling vintage clothes and shoes when he was robbed then shot by the suspect," the victim explained, in a statement obtained by KENS5. At a Home Decor Superstore parking lot on Northwest Loop 410 is where police discovered the injured youth and his bullet-riddled vehicle. Despite his wounds, authorities say he is in stable condition.
