
Two teenagers are behind bars after leading authorities on a wild chase that ended with a stolen car slammed into a north Harris County home, according to law enforcement officials. The crash occurred during a high-speed pursuit that started on Banquo and concluded with the car wrecking into a vacant house on Purple Wisteria Lane, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
The chase escalated when a group in a silver car, reported stolen, decided to test their luck against the police. Images shared on Facebook documented the aftermath, with the vehicle embedded in the very fabric of a house—shattered glass and brick strewn. "Constable Deputies have apprehended the evading suspects that fled from on foot after crashing into a vacant residence in the 5000 block of Purple Wisteria Lane," Herman detailed in a Facebook post.
No injuries have been reported. The Constable's office also confirmed that the chase was instigated by an alarm of auto theft in progress, "Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was a fresh stolen and that the suspect driver is 17 years old. The other suspect has been identified as a young juvenile male," said the Constable’s office.
