
Three individuals have been charged in connection to a violent altercation in Chicago earlier this month, which resulted in two victims sustaining serious injuries. 18-year-old Deasia Davis and 40-year-old Tina Davis, both of the 700 block E 132nd St., along with a 17-year-old female juvenile, whose name has not been released, face felony battery charges, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The three accused were arrested on May 11 after a concerted effort by the Chicago Police. They are alleged to have been part of a stabbing incident, that took place on May 1 at approximately 6:15 p.m. in the 700 block of E. 132nd St., the very neighborhood that two of the offenders call home. The victims of this assault were a 17-year-old female and a 41-year-old female, both of whom suffered great bodily harm. The arrests mark a significant development in the case which has shocked the local community.
Each of the suspects now faces one felony count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and one felony count of aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon. These charges suggest the presence of a weapon during the altercation; however, the type of weapon used has not been specified by law enforcement.
A detention hearing is scheduled for the trio on May 13, 2024, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California.
