A horrific act of violence has shaken the Houston community, where a 20-year-old transgender woman, Karon Fisher, is accused of running over and fatally stabbing 64-year-old Steven Anderson. According to FOX26 Houston, the incident occurred on May 3 at 7023 Woodridge Square Drive, a murder captured in a chilling video that has since been circulated on social media.
In the sequence of events, police report that Fisher initially struck Anderson with a vehicle, then proceeded to reverse and run him over again. After the brutal vehicular assault, Fisher allegedly straddled the victim and inflicted multiple stab wounds, as per Houston police. Witnesses at the scene were able to direct officers to a nearby location where Fisher was detained and questioned before being charged with murder and taken to the Harris County Jail with her bond set at $2,000,000. The relationship, if any between suspect and victim remains unknown to the authorities.
Disturbing details of the murder were revealed in a video obtained by ABC13 Eyewitness News, which shows the suspect kissing Anderson before stabbing him nine times. Fisher, who is identified in court records as a man but also described as a woman by police, appeared to casually walk away after the onslaught, a scene too overwhelming for neighbors to comprehend. "It's very disturbing. I have kids here; they could have been out here playing, and imagine them," a neighbor expressed the proximity of danger to innocence.
Fisher's criminal background includes prior arrests. She was under community supervision for five years for evading arrest in 2023, and although previously charged with prostitution in 2021, that case was dismissed. On the day of the murder, Fisher also allegedly assaulted a hospital staff member. Neighbors, now witnesses to brazen daylight murder, are left to grapple with the tragedy that unfolded "right under our noses," as one resident told ABC13. Fisher remains in custody.
