A harrowing accident on the far East Side of Bexar County has left a motorcyclist fighting for his life in the hospital after a collision with a car. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office reported that the crash occurred near N Foster Road and Wild Flower at approximately 5:10 p.m. yesterday. According to FOX San Antonio, the motorcyclist, while not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bike after a collision with a black Ford Mustang.

Emergency services rushed the rider to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. The other vehicle involved, the Mustang's driver condition remained unknown. Simultaneously, a similar accident was reported by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, on the Northeast Side where a motorcyclist suffered major injuries, around 5 p.m. at Gibbs Sprawl Road and Walzem Road intersection after a head-on collision with another Ford Mustang, as KSAT reported. The rider was likewise not wearing a helmet and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The frequency of accidents at these intersections has raised community concern. Lawrence Spilman, president of the Miller Ranch HOA, expressed that the N Foster Road and Wild Flower intersection has seen numerous accidents, and even fatalities. "This intersection has been host to numerous accidents, and fatalities," Spilman told FOX San Antonio. He also voiced frustration over the lack of action from Bexar County Public Works, citing the absence of a traffic light at the intersection despite the history of incidents.

Investigations into both accidents are ongoing, with authorities looking into the circumstances that led to these fatal encounters.
