Chaos erupted in a Chandler neighborhood earlier today when gunshots rang out, landing two adults in the hospital and one man behind bars. The incident happened just before the break of dawn, around 6 a.m., near the crossroads of McQueen and Chandler Heights roads.
Police scrambled to the scene, coming upon two people with bullets lodged in their flesh. One victim was suffering from serious injuries, the other was more fortunate, hit with what's believed to be non-life-threatening wounds, as FOX 10 Phoenix reported. Following a swift investigation at the residential locale, authorities slapped cuffs on a suspect, whose name remains under wraps.
Details on what sparked the gunfire are scant, but Chandler Police confirmed to ABC15 that the individuals involved were not strangers to one another. "The parties are known to each other, and officers are still conducting their investigation," a spokesperson said, assuring worried neighbors that no broader danger loomed over the public.
