According to Boston 25 News, the first report of a shooting came just before midnight, when Boston police found one victim at 38 Dewey Street with a gunshot wound, this victim was transported to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The night's disruption continued as a second victim, associated with an address at 51 Dewey Street arrived at a local hospital around 3 a.m., bearing their share of bullet wounds which, although serious, were not believed to endanger their life neither was there an immediate arrest made evidence gathering ensconced the area as detectives sought to piece together the happenings of the tumultuous night. It remains unconfirmed if these two shootings are interlinked, but the Boston police are deep into an investigation that has churned up ballistic evidence and noted damage to a vehicle.
Meanwhile, WHDH reported further details of the backdrop to the violence, noting that part of Dewey Street was sectioned off as police combed the area.
