At around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, a gun-wielding individual terrorized a local business on the 2700 block of 14th Street, making away with a stash of cash.
Responding quickly to the crime, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department descended on the Northwest neighborhood, a place where nightlife and commerce usually pulse safely against the backdrop of the nation's capital. The suspect, whose identity remains a mystery, reportedly flashed a handgun and demands, money from the employees onsite. The perpetrator left with undetermined cash before making a swift escape from the scene, leaving residents unnerved, and law enforcement on high alert.
