Big news for Washingtonians who have ever been puzzled by their insurance policies: Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler has rolled out a new resource aimed at unraveling the complexities of insurance coverage. The state's Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC) has got a brand new podcast titled "OIC Answers," which is now on tap to demystify the world of insurance for folks in need.
Aaron VanTuyl and Matt Baide, from the OIC's Public Affairs division, are hosting the show, and will be grilling agency staff on the nitty-gritty details of insurance coverage, from Medicare sign-ups right down to the ever-changing car insurance rates, according to wa.gov/news. The aim here is to arm people with the knowledge they need to get a grip on their policies, and figure out just what exactly the OIC can do for them.
Kreidler tells us that the podcast didn't just come out of thin air. "Our Consumer Advocacy division fields hundreds of calls from Washingtonians with questions about their insurance," he divulged in a statement. "I hope this new avenue for sharing information can help people learn more about their coverage and their options, not to mention our work, at their own pace."
