The department has put out a call to all former officers who have served its community to attend a special Hamburger Cookout during National Police Memorial Week. The celebration is slated for Friday, May 17th, just around the corner from where these men and women once donned their badges at the Police Station on 630 Farley Street.
Generosity comes in many forms, sometimes with the sizzle of a grill, and for Waxahachie's finest, it's coming courtesy of HEB. According to the Waxahachie Police Department, the local grocery chain was announced as the benefactor for the event, aiming to recognize both past and present police officers for their dedicated service.
