In a joint sting operation between Worcester and Somerset police departments, a major fentanyl bust culminated in the arrest of three individuals on charges related to narcotics trafficking. Officials executed stops on two vehicles in Worcester yesterday evening, leading to the discovery of a sizable quantity of suspected fentanyl and the ensuing arrests.

Undercover officers of Worcester Police's Vice Squad and the Neighborhood Response Team, working in collusion with the Somerset Police Department, pinpointed suspects believed to be distributing narcotics within the city. A Honda CRV was pulled over at the intersection of Edward and Earle Streets, where officers made a significant find. According to Worcester Police Department, a cache of what appeared to be fentanyl was seized from within the vehicle.

The occupants of the seized Honda, identified as Kori Fusaro, 33, of Fall River, and Michael Reynolds, 77, also of Fall River, were promptly arrested and are now facing charges for Trafficking in over 10 Grams of Fentanyl and Possession of a Class A Substance with intent to Distribute. In a separate but coordinated move, officers also stopped a Lexus near East Central Street and Eastern Avenue.

The driver of the Lexus, Luis Duarte-Santos, a 30-year-old from Braintree, did not avoid law enforcement's dragnet. He was arrested for Trafficking in over 10 Grams of Fentanyl and Distribution of a Class A Substance. The Worcester Police Department confirmed that all three individuals were involved in the narcotics operation spanning multiple cities.
