A 14-year-old boy was severely injured in a shooting incident at Columbus Park in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago on Tuesday evening, according to Chicago police. The WLS reports that police say the boy was walking through the park located in the 500-block of South Central Avenue at about 8:49 p.m. when he was shot in the thigh.
Following the gunfire, emergency responders transported the victim to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
