Three individuals were nabbed Sunday morning after a harrowing encounter that nearly turned deadly for a San Antonio police officer, officials reported. In the early hours, around 3:30 AM, near Liberty Field and Loop 1604, an officer engaged in the aftermath of a car crash was unexpectedly targeted by a vehicle implicated in a series of robberies, as mentioned by the Fox San Antonio.
In an alarming sequence of events, the officer endeavored to halt the suspect's car when the driver, ignoring commands, mounted the curb and steered directly towards the law enforcer, sparking a chaotic moment where the officer fired shots at the approaching vehicle, the vehicle managed to escape but was later tracked down by authorities.
At a subsequent location, police apprehended a 19-year-old driver alongside two juveniles, all of whom are now facing charges following the confrontation. Fox San Antonio detailed the capture of the trio, confirming their connection to the earlier incident.
