A tragic case unfolded in Bexar County when 66-year-old Magin Hernandez was fatally shot by her husband, as she lay on her kitchen floor with a gun wound to her head; her husband has since been taken into custody for questioning regarding what he claims to be an accidental shooting, according to FOX San Antonio.
The fatal shooting took place near Gunsight Pass and Talley Road, and the husband, a man in his 60s, alerted authorities to the incident himself around 10:30 a.m., asserting it was a grave mishap that resulted in the loss of his wife's life, based on information detailed by News 4 San Antonio.
Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, upon arriving at the scene, discovered the grim reality of Hernandez's death with Sheriff Javier Salazar confirming the situation and the history of previous disturbances at the location, which included a call in December where Hernandez herself sought help to retrieve belongings from the home.
While the full scope of the investigation continues to develop the husband who is currently not facing any charges remains detained.
