At around 7:25 p.m., a caller alerted authorities to the presence of what appeared to be a body floating in the water, leading to a swift response from Austin-Travis County EMS, Austin Police, and Austin Fire. According to FOX 7 Austin, the site at 6614 Blue Bluff Road became the focus of a water rescue operation.
As reported by KXAN, ATCEMS confirmed the discovery of an adult body with a tweet describing the response. In a matter of minutes, responding teams pronounced the individual dead at the scene. Curiously floating near the shoreline, emergency services were tasked with the recovery and subsequent investigation into the cause of the incident.
