
A construction worker was hospitalized this morning after a harrowing fall from the steeple of a church located at 85 Seaverns Ave in Jamaica Plain. The Boston Fire Department reported the incident that unfolded around 8:30 AM, as the worker took a 20-foot tumble while performing his duties atop the church.
In a display of rapid response and technical expertise, emergency teams from the Boston Fire Department were dispatched to the scene, where they initiated a High Angle Rescue operation. Details provided by the Boston Fire's official post commemorates the effort taken to stabilize and safely transport the worker. He was consequently lowered to the ground using Tower Ladder 10 from an elevated position approximately 50 feet high.
