Boston locals can expect a weekend that splits between dry skies and imminent showers. NBC Boston reports a "dry and breezy Saturday" to start off the weekend with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 70s. Although a passing sprinkle might disrupt the dry spell, most areas are set to remain rain-free for the day.
However, tomorrow seems less promising as a "speedy weather system will zip by and provide all of us with a shot of rain from early morning through midday," according to NBC Boston. The weather is expected to clear up later in the day, allowing sunrays to quickly dry up the dampness, with highs rebounding into the low 70s.
Looking ahead to next week, the National Weather Service offers a fairly subdued forecast for Boston. While there is "a slight chance of showers after 3pm" on Monday and again "after 5pm" on Tuesday, both days should largely be sunny with highs near 78 and 76, respectively.
The middle of the week will welcome even warmer weather. On Wednesday, Bostonians can anticipate sunny skies and a high reaching around the 80-degree mark. The warming trend continues into Thursday and Friday, where temperatures are expected to soar to the mid-80s under mostly sunny conditions, perfect for those already planning to get a head start on their summer tan. This upward swing in the thermometer makes one momentarily forget the looming uncertainties of the climate at our doorstep.
