The Detroit Police Department is on the lookout for a "person of interest" in connection to a fatal stabbing that occurred last month on the city’s west side, near a cluster of local businesses. According to CBS Detroit, the incident took place in the early hours of May 19, 2024, and it left a 31-year-old man dead from his wounds after an unknown assailant attacked him outside of a location in the 7400 block of Dix.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was swiftly transported to an nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. As the investigation unfolds, detectives are eager to speak to the individual captured in an image circulating in the media, believed to have been present during the time of this heinous act. As reported by ClickOnDetroit, police are calling on anybody who recognizes the man or has pertinent information to come forward.
The section of Dix Street where the crime occurred is known to house various businesses, including a couple of Mexican restaurants, a gas station, and a liquor store, as noted in a report by WWJ Newsradio.
