Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham is set to spend part of his Saturday afternoon greeting fans at an Xfinity store in Bloomfield Hills, part of a free basketball-themed event running from 2 to 5 p.m. The gathering takes place at the Xfinity Store at 1991 S. Telegraph Road, and it is open to all fans at no cost.
According to ClickOnDetroit, Cunningham is scheduled to appear for a meet-and-greet, giving fans a chance to meet the Pistons guard in person.
Event Details
Fans will also have the chance to explore Xfinity products and features built around watching games and staying connected to their favorite teams, according to the same report.
Some of the perks on offer are tied specifically to the company's membership program. Xfinity members may receive priority access to meet Cunningham, along with other rewards and enhanced experiences, the report states. Members will also have access to limited-time, Pistons-inspired merchandise designed in collaboration with artist David Flores, though some event experiences and merchandise may be limited to those members rather than available to every attendee.
Who Qualifies for Xfinity Perks
Fans wondering whether they already qualify for those member-only extras don't necessarily need to sign up for anything new. Per Xfinity, customers with at least one eligible active service are already considered members and can redeem benefits tied to the program, which the company says can include discounts and other benefits just for being a subscriber.
For everyone else, the core of Saturday's event remains free and open to the public regardless of membership status. The afternoon gives local fans a chance to see one of the team's biggest stars up close as the new season gets underway.
