
A Dripping Springs neighborhood was the scene of a tense standoff this weekend, as a man now identified as Nathan Nattin IV was arrested after a SWAT operation. According to CBS Austin, the Hays County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 1:21 p.m. regarding a suspicious person shouting obscenities on Terrace Canyon Dr. Law enforcement arrived at the scene, and shortly after, they reported hearing shots fired from a nearby residence.
The situation escalated, prompting the deployment of SWAT and the establishment, of a perimeter. As reported by KXAN, officers took Nattin into custody post 5 p.m., following an hours-long standoff. He was subsequently charged with aggravated assault on a public servant. He is also facing charges for possession of a controlled substance, with his bond set at $550,000 for the two charges.
Earlier reports reveal that at the time of the standoff, Nattin was already out on bond for the amount of $18,000 on various charges that included assault on a public servant, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and harassment of a public servant.
