Residents of Cobb County have an open invitation to dive into local culture at the Marietta History Center this July. The Center's monthly Pop-In event, taking place on Saturday, July 20 from 10am to 4pm, is gearing up to provide families with a day full of enjoyable activities and crafts, focusing on the diverse cultures that enrich the county.
According to a city announcement, this month's theme is especially significant, as it showcases the cultural tapestry of the Cobb County community. The Pop-In event, which happens every third Saturday, is made accessible to the public at no charge, thanks to the financial support of Cauthorn, Owen, and Sanders, a local business committed to fostering educational and family-friendly events.
Among the day’s offerings, attendees can look forward to encountering touchable rabbits from the Georgia House Rabbits Society from 12pm-2pm, exploring the Georgia Room at the Cobb Library, or catching a book from the Cobb Bookmobile between 10am and 2pm. The Atlanta Area Executive Council for Girl Scouts will also be present, and for a musical treat, Bach 2 Rock is set to lead a free music class at 11:45am, followed by a live performance in Atherton Square.
