A Goodyear man, struck by a car while walking home, succumbed to his injuries, leaving a family torn by loss and a community in mourning. The deceased was identified as 25-year-old Devin Firth, who was hit on Memorial Day evening at the junction of 167th Avenue and West Canyon Trails Boulevard, as AZFamily.com reported. Firth, who was on his way back from a friend's house, was rushed to the hospital but later died from the injuries sustained.
Officials disclosed that the driver, a juvenile whose name has not been released due to their age, may have been trying to speedily navigate the vehicle at the time of the accident. He was here a lot. Very friendly, very smart, and very fun-loving." Brice also revealed Firth's impending life events cut short: an engagement and a 26th birthday just a few weeks away.
