Juvenile Arrested and Charged with Capital Murder in Daylight Shooting on Fayridge Drive, Houston

A 15-year-old suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Ivan Ramirez, which took place on March 31 at 14155 Fayridge Drive. Charged with capital murder, the juvenile, whose identity remains protected, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities. Following standard protocol, details about the suspect including booking photos are not disclosed to the public.

The incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. when Ramirez confronted an individual attempting to steal his truck, according to the City of Houston news report. After sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, Ramirez was rushed to a nearby hospital and remained in critical condition until his death was pronounced on April 17.

Investigations carried out by the HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble, and Detective K. Collier led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the juvenile suspect on June 6th.
