A somber cloud has settled over League City following a tragic event that transpired on Saturday evening. As reported by FOX 26 Houston, a 43-year-old man, Raymond Jeremiah Stoney, is now facing murder charges after the death of his father, Raymond Stoney, aged 67. The fatal shooting took place just before 7:30 p.m. within the 2900 block of Paisley Meadow, a normally tranquil area that's now the scene of a family tragedy.
Details surrounding the events remain largely obscure, as investigations are still in motion to unravel the sequence of events that led up to the shooting. What is known is that League City Police were called to the scene to discover multiple gunshots had been fired. According to information obtained by ABC13, officers arrived to find the suspect armed and the older Stoney deceased in the backyard of the residence.
The aftermath of the incident has seen Raymond Jeremiah Stoney swiftly arrested and charged with murder. A bond was set at $250,000, as both reports from FOX 26 Houston and ABC13 have mentioned.
