Late Saturday night, the calm of Gwens Trail was shattered by gunfire and terrifying cries for help that left one man dead and the teenager facing serious time behind bars, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
Responding to the chaos, officers arrived on the 3000 block of Betty Jean Court to discover the body of Terrence Wesston, a 28-year-old from Lawrenceville. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police, following an initial probe, have arrested Ryan Abreu, 16, and have slammed him with aggravated assault, felony murder, and firearms charges, as reported by Atlanta News First.
Detectives believe drugs played a role in this deadly encounter. Abreu now faces a litany of charges, including felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
