Free swimming lessons are soon to hit the 24 outdoor community pools. Every age group from infants to adults can register starting this Saturday for the Let’s Swim SA program, a golden opportunity for residents to hone their aquatic abilities without the weight of a price tag. According to a recent report by KSAT, these all-ages classes are set to spread out their sessions across three separate intervals this summer.

These free spots are expected to quickly get snapped up when registration opens at 10 a.m. on June 10. To grab a place, San Antonians should visit the Parks and Recreation website where the registration portal will become available. The sessions span from June 24 to August 2, comprising three separate two-week sessions.

The program, which has made a splash in community engagement, divides swimmers into age-appropriate categories to ensure that everyone from the tiniest tots to the most seasoned adults can learn in an environment suitable for their skill level. This is key to providing a quality experience that's both inclusive and attentive to the individual’s needs. Classes include "Tot & Me" for the little ones aged 6 months to 3 years, "Pre-School" for kiddos from 4 to 5 years old, "School Age" for those 6 to 12, and a category for "Adults" aged 13 and up. These details were outlined in an announcement shared early this Thursday.
