
Chaos unfolded on the northwest side of San Antonio this past weekend when a man was critically injured following a shootout. According to KENS 5, the San Antonio Police Department responded to emergency calls near Fredericksburg Road and Northwest Loop 410, where they discovered a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses at the scene reported that an argument between a man and a woman escalated into gunfire, though it's uncertain who fired the first shot. "Officers interviewed some witnesses who said a male and female were arguing outside when shots began to be fired," as reported by KENS 5. The male was hit twice in the chest and once in the arm. He was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Investigators are actively searching for the female suspect, who fled towards Interstate 10 following the incident. SAPD has deployed a drone unit to aid in the search, but at this time, the woman's whereabouts are still unknown.
In an additional report by Fox San Antonio, it was revealed that the shooting occurred outside a Northside laundromat. The man, said to be in his mid-20s, was "allegedly being shot by a woman three times" and subsequently rushed to University Hospital in critical condition. Authorities have set up a perimeter in an effort to locate the suspect, signaling the gravity of their search.
