An altercation in Chicago's Austin neighborhood has ended tragically, with a man dead after being beaten by two other men. The incident, which occurred on the 5400 block of West Congress Parkway around 10:45 p.m. this past Friday, involved a 46-year-old man in a physical fight with a 39-year-old woman, according to NBC Chicago. During the scuffle, two males intervened, proceeding to severely batter the man.

The victim was rushed to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The details surrounding the initial argument between the man and the woman have not been disclosed, but investigators are actively working to uncover more information.
