Early Monday morning, a fatal shooting in Avondale left one man dead and another in police custody, disrupting the stillness of a community as day broke. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. near the intersection of Avondale Boulevard and Thomas Road, where Avondale Police, arriving at the scene, found a man with gunshot wounds—who despite the quick response and the ensuing murmur of sirens cutting through the night, could not be saved.
The area became an echo of flashing lights and yellow tape as investigators worked, traffic was halted to allow the examination of the scene, and police managed to locate and arrest an adult male suspect in the vicinity
