
Residents and visitors in the Northwest area are on alert as the Metropolitan Police Department continues its hunt for suspects linked to a recent robbery. The incident in question took place late on Wednesday, right outside the Gallery Place Metro Station. The authorities have turned to the community, requesting help to identify and apprehend three individuals connected to the case.
The situation unfolded when a single victim, having just left the metro station at about 11:30 p.m., was confronted by two men and a woman. Despite brushing off their initial interaction regarding the possession of drugs, the victim found themselves trailed and subsequently assaulted by the trio at the intersection of 7th Street and Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest. Subsequent to the attack, the assailants stripped the victim of their backpack and took promptly to flee the scene.
According to an Metropolitan Police Department release, after the robbery, the victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently being treated for injuries that have been described as non-life-threatening. The police have not yet released descriptions of the suspects, but are eager to gather any information from individuals who may have witnessed the robbery or have knowledge about the suspects' whereabouts.
