Milton's City Council is gearing up for a decision-making session come Monday, with a vote set to potentially transform local ambulance services. The Regular Meeting, open for all to attend at City Hall's Council Chambers at 6 p.m., will also be available online for wider access. Ambulance service enhancement is just one of several motions that council members will address during this session.
The agenda includes routine and new items spread across three sections: the CONSENT AGENDA, FIRST PRESENTATION, and NEW BUSINESS. Among the routine issues is the approval of minutes from previous sessions, and, a nod to Lowe Engineers, LLC to create drainage improvement project concepts across 13 city locations. These infrastructure projects, some dating before Milton's incorporation in 2006, are essential for the city's alignment with current engineering practices.
On the technology front, an agreement with Platinum Geomatics, LLC is anticipated to facilitate subsurface explorations for the SR 372/Crabapple Road Multi-Use Trail Project. This project seeks to bridge the gaps along a key thoroughfare in Milton's downtown area. Also, looking to boost its Parks and Recreation offerings, the council will deliberate on a Facility Rental and Court Use Agreement with Jump for Joy Basketball, LLC, which operates Shoot 360 Atlanta. This potential partnership could provide quality basketball facilities for Milton's youth programs.
Cultural enrichment is not forgotten, with a Temporary License Agreement with Orkin & Associates, LLC on the table for the celebratory use of Lecoma Trace during Crabapple Fest, an arts and antiquities event slated for October 5. Adding further support to youth sports, a Facility Agreement with Crabapple First Baptist Church could enable local basketball leagues to use their gymnasium space. Details of the full council agenda were first reported by City of Milton's official website.
