Police are on the lookout for a person of interest tied to an audacious armed robbery that struck Northeast D.C. late last month. According to a Metropolitan Police Department report, the robbery unfolded on the 3900 block of 10th Street, Northeast on the night of May 25, just before the clock struck midnight.
Around 11:55 p.m., the victim, whose anonymity remains preserved, faced the terror of a gun pointed in their direction, the suspect demanded their belongings with such cold resolve and when they complied, dropping their belongings to the pavement, the suspect quickly scooped up the valuables and made their escape into the shroud of night. The officials have made a public plea, urging anyone with information to step forward, to aid in the swift capture of the suspect whose image now circulates on the MPD's digital channels.
The incident, which severed the assumed safety of the neighborhood, has since reverberated through the community, inciting not just fear but a cry for resolution. The police urge the public to bolster their efforts, reiterating that anyone with any information can provide anonymous tips to the department’s tip line.
