Constructed over a span of 250 acres, the Needham Ranch Parkway is part of a larger 1.7 million-square-foot industrial park. Originally completed in two phases, with Phase I finalizing the Sierra Highway connection in 2021, and Phase II bridging Newhall Avenue, the roadway measures over 1.5 miles. It features one lane each direction with improvements such as signalized intersections, bus stops, and ADA-compliant ramps, according to project details released by City of Santa Clarita.
The initiative was a combined effort between the City of Santa Clarita and Trammel Crow Company, known for its real estate development services. Enhancements made to the thoroughfare also include wide sidewalks, planted parkway trees, and paved bike paths.
