According to Orange County, starting Monday, June 10, a second County Community Service Center (CCSC) will open its doors, aiming to create a "one-stop-shop" experience for individuals seeking assistance.
At CCSC Brea, located at 675 Placentia Ave., folks can apply for a variety of SSA programs, including those offering grocery money, health insurance options, and cash aid. This array of services is not just about meeting the immediate needs, but also about crafting an environment where decisions concerning healthcare, represented by the presence of the OC Health Care Agency and CalOptima Health, fall squarely in the hands of the patients themselves. On top of it, leveraged with the opportunity to explore employment resources is OC Workforce Solutions housed on the building's third floor, as per the Orange County.
Designed to streamline assistance and automate the bureaucratic process, community resource specialists are set to help with obtaining vital records such as birth and marriage certificates and scheduling DMV appointments for IDs and driver's licenses. "The success of CCSC Brea comes from working with our co-located County and community-based partners. OC Health Care Agency, CalOptima Health, OC Workforce Solutions, the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, and SSA are bringing together our collective resources in one place," SSA Director An Tran emphasized in the press release.
The opening of CCSC Brea comes on the heels of the success seen by its predecessor, CCSC Westminster, which services an average of 1,600 clients each month.
