In the early hours of June 5, a tragic incident occurred on Oxnard Boulevard, where 50-year-old Ray Rangel was fatally struck by a vehicle while he lay in the roadway, the Oxnard Police Department reported a fatal traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car, the pedestrian sadly did not survive the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, identified as Rosa Ramirez, a 53-year-old resident of Oxnard, was behind the wheel of a 2009 Pontiac G6 when the accident happened; she stayed at the accident site and fully cooperated with the authorities who arrived to investigate, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
As per the Oxnard Police Department, Authorities urge anyone who might have information related to this collision to reach out to Traffic Investigator Coleman at (805) 200-5668 or through email at [email protected], particularly any witnesses who might shed further light on Rangel's intentions or the sequence of events leading up to the tragedy, with the department preferring emails with a callback request for more efficiency in communication outside of Investigator Coleman's standard business hours.
