According to WBTV, the incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on East Trade Street, leaving one person seriously wounded. MEDIC has reported that the victim's injuries are severe, although further details surrounding the events that led to the shooting are currently under investigation.
Following the shooting, the individual was transported to the hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. Found near a popular social club and bar, the victim, whose identity hasn't been released yet, was discovered overnight on E. 5th Street, WCNC reports. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has not disclosed any information about suspects or motives related to this incident as of yet.
