A woman alleged to have been running a prostitution ring out of a Prescott massage parlor has been arrested, according to officials. Yuzhen Qi, 64, was taken into custody Wednesday by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office following a search warrant executed at her business, Perfect Spa. Qi is now facing a multitude of felony charges that include pandering, transporting a person for prostitution, and operating a house or enterprise of prostitution.
The investigation, which had been months in the making, was spearheaded by detectives from the Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking task force. They had received reports of illegal sex acts occurring at the spa located near Montezuma and Leroux streets. As per AZFamily, authorities are currently investigating other massage parlors that Qi operates across the state.
Further inquiries into the Arizona Corporations Commission records revealed that Qi is also the registered owner of two massage parlors in Tucson: Indeli Spa on 1st Avenue and Melody Spa on Oracle Road. As detailed by Fox 10 Phoenix, this comes to light following the announcement that Perfect Spa has been listed as "permanently closed."
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has made a public appeal, asking anyone with additional information related to potential human trafficking to come forth. According to AZFamily, this investigation is still considered active and ongoing, as officials continue to unravel the full breadth of the operation.
