
A man is facing charges after a shooting incident at a San Antonio party left another man hospitalized. Nathan Charles, 22, has been arrested on allegations of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, following the events on the 1000 block of Flanders Avenue, according to KENS5. The victim, a man in his 20s, was reportedly shot in the lower abdomen, and is in critical condition.
The incident took place late Friday night just before midnight. San Antonio police responded to a call, and upon arrival, discovered the injured man, who was then transported to a local hospital. According to authorities, witnesses are currently not cooperating with the investigation into the shooting, as FOX San Antonio reports.
It was during the party that Charles, who reportedly became intoxicated, pulled out a firearm and shot the victim. Charles was detained at the scene by police. As of now, no further details about the motive or the sequence of events leading to the shooting have been released. The name of the hospitalized man has not been disclosed, and no other injuries were reported at the scene of the crime. Police continue their investigations into the circumstances of the shooting, urging witnesses to come forward with any information they may possess.
