Starting June 24, construction will kick off on the Bouquet Canyon Trail, a Class I, shared-use trail designed to connect people to nature without the threat of traffic. According to the City of Santa Clarita's official blog, this trail is a component of efforts to enhance outdoor activities and mobility around Central Park.
For those who enjoy cycling, running, or just a stroll, the Bouquet Canyon Trail will serve as a haven apart from the bustling Bouquet Canyon Road, wherein the trail brings a new layer to the outdoor experience and safety for residents, who now have the option to embrace active transport, a push that aligns with the Santa Clarita 2025 Strategic Plan which champions non-motorized travels for a more sustainable, environmentally-friendly community, as per the City of Santa Clarita. This initiative has already earned the city recognition as a Silver Rated Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists.
