The saga of Miles Hudson and his roaring Dodge Charger Hellcat has reached a crescendo in Seattle, as city officials turn the screw on the noise-maker with an $83,000 fine. The city, having endured the clamor of Hudson's aftermarket exhaust and his nocturnal revving antics, is now looking to rein in the driver who has not only vexed the Belltown residents but has also openly defied authority by continuing to showcase his rebellious escapades on Instagram. According to The Drive, a court order filed last Friday detailed the city attorney's push for hefty fines against Hudson.
Hudson films his thunderous sprints through the streets, now a passive participant from the passenger seat, while his accomplices handle the driving. Documented on social media, his Hellcat — swathed in aftermarket accessories and tuned with racing software. Hudson's show of defiance is a pricey one, given the nearly six-figure cost of his vehicle and the fines piling up against him. Compounding the spectacle, Hudson's endorsements from modification companies are a mixed bag, with some proud of his patronage and others distancing themselves from his daredevilry, as FOX 13 Seattle reports.
Ann Davison, Seattle City Attorney, has leveled legal artillery at Hudson, seeking a default judgment that would make him answerable for his actions in the form of a financial penalty. Hudson stands to be responsible not only for the massive fines but also for the taxpayer resources wasted in chasing his shadow through the streets.
Despite numerous complaints, tickets, and police warnings, Hudson's actions persist unabated. In a mid-May correspondence, Hudson's mother indicated to the city officials that the Hellcat was on a path towards compliance and potential change in ownership. Nevertheless, Hudson's Instagram narrative sings a discordant tune, with recent posts flying in the face of such assurances.
