A pedestrian-involved collision has resulted in serious injuries in Harris County, following what Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says stemmed from a domestic violence dispute. The incident occurred at the 400 block of S. Fry, adjacent to the Katy Freeway, where an adult male was struck by a vehicle driven by an adult female who remained at the scene.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the male pedestrian was subsequently transported by Lifeflight to a local hospital, though his condition has not been disclosed. Sheriff Gonzalez did not provide further details regarding the nature of the domestic dispute, nor did he disclose the identities of those involved, suggesting an ongoing investigation.
The response by the Harris County Sheriff's Office units was swift, as local authorities worked to manage the scene and initiate the necessary investigative protocols. Pedestrian and vehicle traffic was affected in the vicinity of the crash site, prompting temporary detours and traffic advisories for the greater Katy area.
